What to Expect

 

Worship- Worship service is a time that God has promised a special presence. If we follow His plan for service, we are guaranteed to be changed when we walk out the doors. 

Praise-We believe praise to be an integral part of service. Each service we sing praise songs which help us to enter into his presence.  

Hymns-We sing hymns which are designed to reinforce the Word of God. In today’s church, hymns are often ignored and considered outdated. We feel this takes away from the service because at times the hymns can be the word of God set to music, preaching to us as we sing to our heavenly Father.  

Testimony- We set apart at each service to recognize and share to each other what God is doing and has done in each of our lives. David said “praise continually went from his mouth”. Testimony has two important factors. First, God deserves the credit for what He does for us. Second, by sharing with others God’s grace in our lives, encourages others who are struggling to believe God for an answer to their need. 

Prayer-We feel God has assigned our congregation to intercede for one another. Prayer is to be an important part of our church.  We have seen God answer prayer at this church and take it as an honor to lift up both those we know and those we may never meet. We as a church agree to pray not only at each service but daily for those in need.

The Word-Our relationship with God is based on faith. Faith that He is. Faith that He does. Faith that He will. ”Faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the Word of God.” The Word of God is what makes our faith work. Hearing this word is vital for growing, equipping us, and living a veracious life. It is more than just memorizing words. It is receiving the Word empowered by the Holy Spirit. Hearing the Word is the most crucial part of our spiritual life. We make the Word priority in our service by examining the scriptures line by line and word by word. Doing this reinforces the message God has given to us.  

Fellowship-Church was designed to be a fellowship of like minded individuals. Here we are encouraged, taught, loved, disciplined, and refreshed. Each member whether young or old provides something special to our congregation that no one else can bring. When one is not present our body is not whole. Each service we fellowship with one another. We also have special events through out each month, yearly vacation bible school, fall fellowship, Thanksgiving remembrance, Christmas and Easter children plays, and family movie nights. Family-Here at Grace Community Church, members are to care for one another as brothers and sisters. Whether it is gathering for games, cooking meals for a sick individual, celebrating family milestones or phoning someone with words of encouragement, one should feel as if they have gained another family when they attend church with us. The church is also a place to learn the importance of family commitment, gain instruction, and recognize God’s wonderful plans for us. 

What does the future hold? We hope those who feel led to be apart of Grace Community Church family, come and be apart of the growth, both physically and spiritually. We are grateful for the path God has set before us. We plan to continually grow according to God’s plans and reach out to the community around us impacting lives through Jesus Christ our Lord. We are a church who believes God has established what the church mission is to be and how to obtain that objective. God has laid out a specific design for church and we as a body follow that plan. One can expect to be filled with the Word and then be ready to give an answer to every man. We are a church that values individuals of all ages. Everyone can expect classes that feed them the Word of God. We have Sunday school and Wednesday night bible study for both adults and children.   We believe in worship, praise, hymns, testimony, prayer, the Word, fellowship, and family.
